  Counseling & Placement Services

The true success of the Center for Workforce Development Services (CWDS) is our ability to place job seekers in a good career track for long term career success. To ensure success, clients visiting the CWDS receive the one-on-one consultation with Career Counselors to help them find employment that best matches their skills and abilities.

The various components of the services they receive include:

Career Assessment:
Through testing tools such as the TABE, SDS, Myers Briggs, and JTPA, the assessment enables the Career Counselor and client to find employment and career goals that best match their skills and abilities.

Individual Success Plan
While many clients desire immediate employment, the CWDS encourages its clients to actively identify a meaningful career path. With the help of a Career Counselor, clients can develop an individualized success plan that helps them identify opportunities that can lead to a long term, sustainable career.

Resume Preparation Assistance
A well-written resume is a crucial necessity in landing an interview. Whether counselor-assisted or through self-directed computer programs, clients have the tools and assistance available to create high quality, professional looking resumes to accommodate their job search.
