To keep pace with the anticipated demand for workers on the Arena Project and other large construction projects in the metro area, the League launched the region’s first Construction One-Stop Career Center.
Funded by KentuckianaWorks, the Center’s goal is to prepare adults for careers in the construction industry. The initiative-- also known as the Construction Pipeline Project--is a collaboration between the Urban League, Justice Resource Center, and local union and non-union apprenticeship programs.
The Louisville Urban League is recruiting for the KentuckianaWorks Construction Pipeline Program. Hundreds of apprenticeship and career opportunities in the building trades and construction industry are projected to become available as a result of the Ohio River Bridges projects. If you have questions or need more info, call 566-3405, or visit to the Louisville Urban League at 1535 W. Broadway, Louisville, KY.
